MyRedSoxNation.com launches “Bring Back Theo”
Petition Campaign to Convince Theo Epstein to return as
General Manager of the Boston Red Sox

The newest member of Red Sox Nation, a new website, MyRedSoxNation.com is launching a petition campaign to convince Theo Epstein and the Boston Red Sox management to work out their differences and have Theo rejoin the organization he left just last month.
MyRedSoxNation.com hopes to touch Theo’s heart by sending him a list of tens of thousands of members of Red Sox Nation who want to see him return to lead the Boston Red Sox to another World Series Championship.
Theo Epstein reportedly turned down a $1.5 million contract offer that appeared to come too late, saying that his heart was no longer in the job.
In an interview at MLB.com, Epstein explained his departure. "I think a lot of things happened during the end of this negotiation that caused me to think more closely about the situation, think about myself, think about the organization and whether it was the right fit," said Epstein. "Again, in the end, I decided that the right thing to do was to move on."

We’re hoping that we can send Theo a list of tens of thousands of fans that grows by the thousands each week and can convince him that he is loved and needed in Red Sox Nation, noted Joshua Karlin, the creator of MyRedSoxNation.com. We will send him the list every week until he returns, takes another job, or the Red Sox hire a permanent replacement.

Theo is the most successful GM in red Sox history, having lead the 2004 Boston Red Sox to its first World Series Championship since 1918.

Tufts University Class on Sabermetrics

I'm proud to see that my alma mater is finally teaching college students something they can put to use in the real world. Had Tufts had this kind of foresight back in its 3rd or 4th decade of existence, the home team Boston Red Sox might not have had to wait 86 years between World Series Championships. Three cheers for the Jumbos, not to mention the Red Sox!
